Online UPS questions
What is an online UPS?
An online (double-conversion) UPS continuously converts incoming AC power to DC and back to clean AC, so connected equipment runs from the UPS at all times. When mains power fails, the batteries take over with no transfer gap.
Single phase or three phase — which do I need?
It depends on your incoming supply and the equipment you are protecting. Single phase suits offices, shops and smaller loads; three phase suits larger machines and installations. Our team confirms this during a site check.
How do I work out the kVA rating?
Add up the wattage of everything the UPS will power, allow for power factor and future growth, and choose a rating above that. The UPS sizing tool walks through this step by step.
